Institute Camp FAQs

FAQs

  • The curriculum at our Worldview Academy Institutes focuses on instilling a biblical understanding of worldview, apologetics, and leadership. Students will be immersed in the core teachings of the Christian faith and will discover what distinguishes Christianity from all other belief systems. To dig deeper into the foundation of our curriculum, explore our Key Concepts.

  • Check in runs each day from 8:30 - 9:00 am. Students should plan to arrive during that window each day. If this is your student’s first time at camp, it’s a good idea to aim to arrive closer to 8:30 am.

  • Our programming ends each evening at 8:00 pm, but we have a Daily Brief occurring each evening from 6:00 - 6:30 pm. The Daily Brief is a short session led by our Camp Director and faculty that review the material we covered during the day with your students. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and better understand what your students has learned over the course of the day. We then have our final session of the day for families (including any siblings). We would love to see you at both the daily brief and the evening session each day at camp.

  • Due to airline regulations and safety concerns, Worldview Academy does not offer a camp shuttle service nor do we offer any sort of housing for out of town guests for the Worldview Academy Institute.

  • Due to privacy policies, we do not share contact information. If you are interested in organizing transportation, we recommend connecting with other camp families in your area through church or hime school groups, or via social media.

  • Tuition is currently $400 for the four-day institute. This covers programming for the week and lunch and dinner daily. It also covers all activities throughout the week, as well as a camp t-shirt, student notebook, and other materials.

  • The full balance of your tuition must be received at least four (4) weeks prior to the start date of your camp. Students whose balances are not paid at that time must be removed from the institute, forfeiting all monies paid. Deposits are non-refundable. If necessary, however, we can work with you to transfer to another camp during the same calendar year.

  • If you are registering online, the easiest method is to pay through your online account. You can also pay via credit card by phone, calling (800) 241-1123. If paying by check, be sure to make your check payable to “Worldview Academy” and mail it to us at:

Scholarship funds are limited and will be awarded based on financial need and availability. Applications will be evaluated on a first come, first serve basis. • You will need to complete several forms through your online account. Forms must be received at least four (4) weeks prior to the start date of camp. You can complete the forms via your online account.

  • All deposits are non-refundable. Students cancelling more than four weeks prior to their camp session will be refunded their entire camp fee, less the registration deposit. • Student cell phones are not allowed at camp—no exceptions. Cell phones brought by students will be collected at check-in and returned a the closing of camp. However, students may use the camp phone to call home. Parents must authorize calls to anyone other than immediate family.

  • With the exception of (some) cameras, all electronics (recording equipment, mp3 players, cell phones, laptops, tablets, e-readers, etc.) are prohibited at camp. If you bring them, they will be collected by staff and returned to students at the end of the day. Our advice is to leave them at home!

  • We take the safety and welfare of our students very seriously. We will do a safety briefing during camp orientation outlining emergency procedures.

  • If you have an Epi-pen or asthma inhaler, you may keep them with you at all times. All other prescription medication that has to be administered throughout the day can be turned in to our director team upon check in.

  • Absolutely. Not only do we have a daily brief and evening session each day, but if there are additional times you would like to visit your student(s) during the Institute, please just let your Camp Director know.

  • Of course. Our Institutes are a wonderful experience for teens at your church, and will help you reinforce the education and discipleship you are providing. If you want to send a group of students, we suggest getting in touch with our office in advance to discuss logistics.

  • One of the best options for pastors and church leaders is to host one of our weekend Christianity & Culture Conferences, or even a weeklong Worldview Institute. This opens the experience to a wider range of individuals and families at your church, and gives you some options in terms of curriculum.

  • Yes, there are! A great way to drive home the lessons of camp for your group would be to lead them in one of our nine-week devotional guides. These are great not only for individuals but also for youth groups, Sunday School classes, and small group studies.
