Leadership Camp FAQs
FAQs
-
The curriculum at our Leadership Camps focuses on instilling a biblical understanding of worldview, apologetics, and leadership. Students will be immersed in the core teachings of the Christian faith and will discover what distinguishes Christianity from all other belief systems. To dig deeper into the foundation of our curriculum, explore our Key Concepts.

Check-in for camp opens Sunday at 2:45 pm, and runs until 4:15 pm. Students should arrive during that window. If this is your student’s first time at camp, it’s a good idea to build in a buffer to get them settled.
-
Families are invited to join us for the last session of camp beginning Friday at 9:15 am. Afterward, we will hold a brief parent meeting to discuss the major highlights of the week, followed by a graduation ceremony and the screening of the week’s camp video. Departure is at 12 noon (before lunch) on Friday.
-
Worldview Academy does not provide a shuttle service from airports, bus depots, or train stations to camp. You will need to plan on getting your student to and from the university campus independently.
-
Due to privacy policies, we do not share contact information. If you are interested in organizing transportation, we recommend connecting with other camp families in your area through church or home school groups, or via social media.
-
Camp tuition is currently $850-950 depending on the location. This covers your student’s lodging and meals from supper on Sunday to breakfast on Friday. It also covers all program activities during the week, as well as a camp t-shirt, Student Notebook, and other materials, including transportation for off-site activities.
-
The full balance of your tuition must be received at least four (4) weeks prior to the start date of your camp. This is essential for hosting our events on university campuses. Students whose balances are not paid at that time must be removed from the roster, forfeiting all monies paid. Deposits are non-refundable. If necessary, however, we can work with you to transfer to another camp during the same calendar year.

If you are registering online, the easiest method is to pay through your online account. You can also pay via credit card by phone, calling (800) 241-1123. If paying by check, be sure to make your check payable to “Worldview Academy” and mail it to us at:

Please apply by completing our online application form at the bottom of the camp page.
-
You will need to complete several forms through your online account. Forms must be received at least four (4) weeks prior to the start date of camp. You can complete the forms via your online account.
-
All deposits are non-refundable. Students cancelling more than two weeks prior to their camp session will be refunded their entire camp fee, less the registration deposit. Students cancelling within two weeks of their session will forfeit the entire fee. Please cancel with us over the phone at (800) 241-1123 or by emailing registrar@worldview.org.

Student cell phones are not allowed at camp—no exceptions. Cell phones brought by students will be collected at check-in and returned at the closing of camp. However, students may use the camp phone to call home. Parents must authorize calls to anyone other than immediate family.
-
With the exception of (some) cameras, all electronics (recording equipment, mp3 players, cell phones, laptops, tablets, e-readers, etc.) are prohibited at camp. If you bring them, they will be collected by staff and returned to students on the last day of camp. Our advice is to leave them at home!
-
We take the safety and welfare of our students very seriously. Consequently, we conduct a security search the first evening of camp to screen for prohibited items. If items prohibited on our packing list are found, they are collected and only returned to the student at the end of camp. In addition, there will be a safety briefing during camp orientation outlining emergency procedures.
-
Yes, but there are some conditions. First, we can only accommodate requests made through your online account at least four (4) weeks prior to your camp start date. If you wait until check-in, it is simply too late. In addition, requests have to be made by both students mutually—in other words, two students wishing to room together must each make a request through their online accounts. Last, students making requests must be within one year’s age of one another at the time of camp. Ultimately, given the complexity of university housing situations, we cannot guarantee that roommate requests will be accommodated, though we will do our best.
-
If you have an Epi-Pen or asthma inhaler, you may keep this with you at all times. All other prescription medication must be overseen by one of our senior staff members during the course of the week. At Camp Check-In, please turn these in at the “Meds” table. All prescription medications must be labeled, placed in a Ziploc bag. During the week, our designated senior staff members will oversee the administration of all prescriptions. Meds will be returned to students Friday morning of camp.
-
While your students are at camp, Worldview Academy will share daily updates on their activities so you can follow along. We also post online photo albums that chronicle the week’s progress. You will love the way these updates keep you connected to the camp experience!
-
Absolutely. Parents are welcome to sit in on lectures in person, and we will also livestream a number of classes for those who want to connect online. If you are planning an in-person visit, however, please coordinate with the Camp Director.

Of course. Our Leadership Camps are a wonderful experience for teens at your church, and will help reinforce the education and discipleship you are providing. If you want to send a group of students, we suggest getting in touch with our office in advance to discuss logistics.

One of the best options for pastors and church leaders is to host one of our weekend Christianity & Culture Conferences, or even a weeklong Worldview Institute. This opens the experience to a wider range of individuals and families at your church, and gives you some options in terms of curriculum.

Yes, there are! A great way to drive home the lessons of camp for your group would be to lead them in one of our nine-week devotional guides. These are great not only for individuals but also for youth groups, Sunday School classes, and small group studies.
