Meet our office staff

  • Beth Boyum

    AMBASSADOR COORDINATOR

    A mechanical engineering graduate of the United States Air Force Academy with her masters degree in aeronautical engineering, Beth served ten years in the Air Force before choosing to stay home to disciple her children in the context of home education. She and her husband, Kevin, have four adult children who attended Worldview Academy as students and served as staff over the last fifteen years. Beth has found her greatest joy in discipling the next generation for Christ and is in her happy place holding her new grandson, strategizing with and encouraging others, or discussing literature and worldview over (very) strong cups of coffee. The Boyums live in California, but they know where to find a good cup of coffee and joyful fellowship in all fifty states.

  • Hannah Gripp

    ALUMNI STAFF COORDINATOR

    Hannah is from the beautiful mountains and pine trees of Flagstaff, Arizona. She earned two degrees in music performance and holds a violin teaching certificate. Hannah is passionate about music and has been a performer and private violin teacher for many years.

    Hannah was a student at Worldview Academy before serving as a staff member and then as a staff director. In 2023, the Lord led her to join the Worldview Academy office team. Hannah works part-time in the Worldview office and teaches violin lessons part-time. She loves being outside and spending time with family and friends.

  • Joe Hendry

    SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

    Joe Hendry is from San Diego, CA, and earned a degree in Sports Management from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. Following his graduation, he worked as an account executive at Nerdwallet. Joe was a student at Worldview Academy from 2014-2017 and later served on staff for three summers between 2019-2022. This experience further fueled his desire to serve families and students, leading him to pursue full-time work with Worldview Academy. Currently residing in Georgetown, TX, Joe enjoys sports, movies, and dining out with friends.

  • Micah Jordan

    CAMP LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
    CAMP DIRECTOR

    Micah Jordan is from Clemson, South Carolina. He graduated in 2018 from Clemson University with a degree in Packaging Science. He has worked the past 3+ years as a Packaging Engineer in Memphis, TN and Asheville, NC. His loves include disc golf, board games, traveling, and sharing meals with friends. He attended camp as a student in 2011-2014 and has served on staff and on the leadership team 5 times between 2015-2021. His passion for camp ministry and service opportunities has led him to pursue full time work with Worldview Academy as he joins the team as the Camp Logistics and Content Coordinator.

  • Joan McElveen

    EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
    OFFICE MANAGER

    Joan McElveen started with Worldview Academy in January 2021 and serves as the Executive Assistant and Database Manager. She earned her BBA in both Business Management (1992) and Computer Information Systems (1995) from Texas State University after which she worked for American Express Corporate Services as a Systems Analyst in the Global Information Systems division and Senior Business Analyst in Global Product Development. In 2001, Joan felt the Lord's call to serve her family in the home full-time until 2014 when she began as the Communications/Program Coordinator for CLS Law Student Ministries. Joan resides in Mt. Pleasant, TX with her husband Les and they have 2 grown children. Joan serves on the leadership team of the local Community Bible Study group, and is active in her church and her community.

  • Jack Schutt

    DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

    Jack grew up in Mount Pleasant, Texas in a Christian home. By the grace of God, he came to trust in Christ at a young age through the faithful witness of his parents. In 2020, he graduated from Texas A&M University and married his wife, Olivia. After graduation, they continued to call College Station home while he served on staff at Breakaway Ministries, a para-church college ministry on A&M’s campus. Worldview Academy has played a significant role in Jack’s own discipleship, as he attended camp as a student and served as a staff member and staff director throughout his college years. Jack hopes to advance the work of Worldview by partnering with likeminded churches, ministries, and schools in the mission of equipping students to think and live in accord with a biblical worldview. In addition to his work at Worldview, Jack is on staff at his local church and is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary

  • Mike Schutt

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
    FACULTY OF THEOLOGY

    Mike Schutt is the executive director of Worldview Academy, and he has served students as a Worldview Academy faculty member since 2002. Before taking on the executive director role, he served as Clinical Associate Professor at Trinity Law School and Director of the Institute for Christian Legal Studies (ICLS), a cooperative ministry of Trinity Law and Christian Legal Society, where he directed CLS’ Law School Ministries. He also taught on the faculty of Regent Law School for 20 years. Mike’s book, Redeeming Law: Christian Calling and the Legal Profession (InterVarsity Press 2007), is an exhortation to students and lawyers on Christian integrity in the law. He lives in Mount Pleasant, Texas, with his wife, Lisa. They have three grown children and six grandchildren. Before entering academia, Mike practiced law in Fort Worth, Texas. He is an honors graduate of the University of Texas School of Law.

  • Mike Tiland

    DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
    CAMP DIRECTOR
    FACULTY OF THEOLOGY

    Mike has been a part of the Worldview Academy team since 2006 and has served in a variety of capacities over the years. Currently, Mike serves as the Director of Operations, Camp Director, and Faculty with Worldview Academy. Mike holds a Masters of Divinity degree in Christian Ministry from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has a passion for the church and helping to train the next generation of leaders that will live faithfully to the gospel in all areas of life. Mike has taught youth and adults across the country at camps, retreats, conferences, and leadership seminars. He and his wife Angela live in central Texas with their three children.

  • Cathy Wigley

    REGISTRAR

    Cathy Wigley, a Texas A&M graduate, has lived in East Texas for the past seven years. She and her husband, Chris, have four teenagers. Cathy loves encouraging and working alongside local homeschooling families and has homeschooled her own children for the past ten years. She is passionate about camp ministry and the life changing experiences that are likely to happen during camp sessions. When Cathy is not spending time with her family, she enjoys investing in the lives of teenagers at her church. She believes a biblical worldview is based on the infallible Word of God and loves spending time sharing the love of God with those around her.
